First annual Santa Fe Chapter AMCA vintage bike show.
My old man has been planning this show for 6 months now. Hopes were high for this event as shitty weather loomed in the distance. National Weather Service issued a severe winter storm warning for that day......... and it was Super Bowl Sunday too. We started setting up at 7:30 Sat. night, and I didn't get to sleep until 2:30 am. 3 hours later the alarm clock started blaring, and we headed back. There were 60+ bikes that made it, and a handful of vendors. This was a 1984 and earlier show........... the oldest bike was a 1913 Excelsior, and the oldest was a 1984 Shovel. There were many cool points about the day..... like the fact that there weren't any ropes separating viewers from the machines. You could actually get right up close and check shit out. There were also no gold card bikers there. No Roadkings, no Fatboys, just real people and real bikes.
